Note From RaVen on Skins In game:
Many of the aircraft are the same on both sides.For this to work we need cooperation from YOU.
The only way to i.d. friend from foe is to wear the correct skins.
Also by downloading the Netcache all skins will immediately be registered by all users that have done so, thus completely eliminating Lag with skins on.
This method has been proved and tested by "Guse" and the guys from mega missions. Credit and thanks goes to them, who says you can't have your cake and eat it too!
1. You must download both packs.
Click Yes to All when prompted

Once you download extract the zip file into the root folder named
...\Ubisoft\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\PaintSchemes
2.TO AVOID LAG PLEASE DOWNLOAD
Allied/Axis Skin Netcache pack
Once you download extract the zip file into the root folder named

3. Know The Skins.
4. Markings
If for some reason you have not Downloaded the skins please use default skins with correct markings( Big risk of friendly fire and a bad Idea!)
ALLIES: are French or British markings
AXIS: are German Crosses
5.Lastly "HONOR AMONG PILOTS"In the spirit of WWI HONOR Allow wounded pilots the dignity of "TAKING HER IN" please don't shoot landers.
